i dd my 8 for 3 yrs. the only reason i bought a 'new' dd was after being laid off i bounced around for a while and eventually got a semi-perm job with a 180mi round trip. filling up everyday was tiresome and i didnt want to rack up the miles on the 8. enter the celica. celica only gets driven to and from work so i still spend my time w/ the 8 :D

Yep she sure is!!!! unless its snowing or bad weather then i drive my truck.

 

Snowing or bad weather is perfect RX-8 weather! I almost have more fun driving my 8 in the winter than I do in the summer.....almost.

 

I am more worried about the other people running in to me then me running in to them lol

I do let her play in the snow from time to time.

 

Too much traffic for a stick shift.

USe mine for fun.

 

Drive my 09 daily. Probably about 8 miles per day each day in slow traffic mostly. Get 12-13 mpg. On mixed driving over weekends, I get about 16, a bit more in all highway driving and only when nits all highway and I am ducking behind other cars and trucks is when I have gotten 20 mpg.

Now about 40k on it.

The thing is that being on this forum makes you worry too much about breaking down or wondering whether you should pre-mix or redline everyday, and you begin living fearfully or trading your car too soon. I had a 94, read this forum, worried so much that I traded it for an 06 350Z and then decided that I would not let this forum worry me as much and traded it for my 09 again.

 

I've had my 8 for less than a year and been on this forum since before i bought it. Drive it daily. Doesnt make me fearful, but it does make me knowledgeable about any curveballs that may come my way.

Yep, its my daily driver. Definitely been spoiled! I average about 16mpg over the duration of a gas tank. But that doesnt matter to me. What I "lose" in mpg, I gain in fun. :-) Might as well enjoy my commuting, if I have to do it!!

BRettus- what you said man...luv at first rev!! I luv my 8--she's my DD and I get excited to here her whine...NICE!! My husband secretly wants an 8..his KIA just ain't doin it for him. LOL!! He knows my car is off limits!!
