rx8 a ricer?

The ones that don't know better think my Integra is rice, i don't think it is, everything underhood is functional(I,H,E) 9.5wires, 62mm throttle body,EXedy stage 1 clutch with lighten flywheel, mild cams soon to come. I have KYB GT-R2 's coil overs on her but there not $3k , paid 400 for them from some guy off of craigs list who wrecked his Integra before he got to put them on. 
She is pretty quick , handles pretty well, and i still get 32mpg on my daily commute. I have no stickers, or booming sound system, or wild paint job, she sits clean and neutral. I think she is everything but rice...but to each there own i guess.

Ever notice that anyone going slower than you is an idiot and anyone going faster is a maniac? Many of the people who call other people's car "rice" drive a car which is called "rice" by someone else. It's all about perspective.
Frankly I think you should enjoy having YOUR car look the way YOU like, regardless of what label someone from a different perspective calls it. If you like your car with 8 foot wings and exhaust pipes as big as tree trunks, then enjoy it and stop caring with others call it.
My personal definition of rice is any car with exhaust tips that make it sound like an F1 car that has less than 300 hp. Or any I4 with a loud exhaust system. Or any motorcycle with loud pipes that doesn't have a large engine. But I'm sure some of those people consider MY car rice because it's an import or because it has a spoiler, or because it has 18" rims, or because it has carbon fiber hood dampers. But frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn! To each their own.

You guys are funny. That Integra is rice, and the RX-8 can be rice. I would even go as far to say that many on here our driving riced out 8's. I know mine was. Rice isnt always bad, look at rice-a-roni. It looks just like it tastes DELICIOUS.

in my humble opinion i think the term rice rocket came from america muscle junkies, when describing any "asain" car being tuned and or modified to perform like thier gass guzzling 60 tonners...lol i have heard many guys say rice rocket and that is always what i see an example of what they are describing...
