5/05 build date seem to be good cars. One thing I do is let the car warm up about 1/4. If it's cold out it can take about 5 min.

Why are people bragging about 10k- 20k, or even 30k miles, without having problems? Hell, we should demand and expect that out of any car we buy new. It's like saying you lucked out and got a good RX8, because many are bad. I don't see Honda people bragging about stuff like this. Ike is right, these threads are just all too common, and very pointless. No news = good news. I suppose it's just a self defense mechanism to make posts like this, because of the various problems people, such as myself had with the car. Either way, most people will not suffer major problems with any car the first 30k miles. Come back 5 years from now and brag about 0.0% problems after 100k-150k miles.

It would be uncommon for any car with 100k to have no problems. But problems do surface in most cars around 30K. Most rental companies ditch their cars about this time beacuse maint/repairs start creeping into profits. But your right, it would be better to hear of 8's with little or no problems at 100k. 30k problems are mostly minor.

Um, duh, because nobody has had their car 5 years/100k miles. For my part, I was wasn't bragging merely stating a fact. I agree, one should have no problems with a car after 15k miles, but that fact isn't going to keep me from replying when somebody asks.
