A little bit after I got the car I've noticed that almost every single light that is able to go in my dash is on. Dad is a mechanic and I had one of his workers check it out. Any Ideas what the problem could be? 2004 RX-8

 

Don't think the problem is in the dash
Do you want to go line by line about which lights are on?

 

There is no specific light, but the whole thing just flickers with almost every light possible on it. I have no explanation for the lights whatsoever.

 

Ok, help us help you. "flickers with every light" isn't a lot to go on. A picture of the problem, some history of the car, anything you've tried would help

Does this only happen when the engine is turning, or also if the car is in ON but not started?

That's not what most would consider the dash....


The wiring plug for that display comes off the stereo head unit...it likely has become loose

Does the head unit work correctly?

 

The CD Player does not work but other than that everything else works
