An STI was clocked at 1.3 secs 0-30 by a mag earlier in the year, which is faster than any production car I've ever seen. Many stock STIs have cut 1.7 60' and I think some have done 1.6. The stock tires are fine and drag radials might even slow the car down until you get massive HP. If they would be faster by chance it would be by a very tiny amount and would cause havoc on the drivetrain. With an AWD launch you want a tiny bit of wheelspin.

In short, it would be really stupid to change the tires on an STI for the purpose of going faster because most likely you wouldn't and would probably mess up your drivetrain.
