rpm question
at 70mph... what should the rpm read on a 6speed manual??... mine reads 3500 rpm on 70... i dont know if thats normal or a defect on the car... anyone knows??? i think thats a little too high at 70mph...

At first, it does seem quite odd to have the rpm's so high at only 70 mph, but remember that you've got almost 6000 RPM'S TO GO!!

okay.. well i was just wondering... make a note of your rpm next time you drive... man... i was about to bring hell to them dealers at mazda! .hahaa... i guess they got lucky...

The engine doesn't involve stop and go motions, it's spinning around. Much smoother and rev happy.
Also in case you didn't know, the rotors themselves spin at 1/3rd the displayed RPMs, so most of your car motor mass is only hitting 3000 rpm when you are seeing 9000 on the dash.
