Road noise
Does anyone else have a lot of road noise?
I know our tires aren't the meatiest, so that has something to do with it. But on the highway, or at high speeds, it's really loud. I have an 04, and it only has 15,000 miles on it.
Just wondering if this was normal for our cars.

I have a 04' base with luvly 16" rims wrapped in Avon Tires. I dont hear much road noise but once I get past 100 some noise does kick in abit that and as it aproaches 120 (those FEW rare times ) car felt less attached to the road. Not sure if it was areo of our car or not but yeah next year upgrading tires along with a set of rims hehe. The Avon's I was told are Z rated to 150 and are All Seasonal to. grrr..

My '05 stock tires are Dunlop and they aren't overly noisy. But, I would not expect the cabin of a roadster/sports-car to be like a Lexus LS430, would you? If it is, it would not be a roadster anymore.

If u want a quieter and gentler riding RX-8, get the AVON high perf all season tires. I think they are like Avon 550's. Great stick and quiet, comfortable with long tread life.
