Redline beep
theres alot of things hondas dont do that 8s do....handle well...drift...look good...i can go on and on. lol
as for radio volume, the loudest ive had mine was 16 once...you only get two ears, no point in ruining them.
Also, when im "playing" in the car, i just hit the mute button on the steering wheel, so i find the beep to be a good volume and never annoying.

1.) Beep is there for a reason. It's to prevent you from hitting the fuel cut every time you rev her up.
2.) How the HELL are you getting the stereo so high? 10 is just right for me, 15 if I feel like jamming out really hard on occasion..

It sounds perfectly good to me, same quality as my home system, and yes, stock 300W Bose unit.
It actually sounds better than 90% of car stereos I've heard
what?! Unless they drastically changed the bose system from the time I bought mine, I find that claim very hard to believe.
I'm a huge car stereo nut (just look at my stereo upgrade thread) and I know when I turned my bose up past 22 or 25, it simply became too distorted.
What is the max volume on the stereo now?
Mine says "max" when I hit 30 on the dial. Maybe the gain is different on the new bose so your 40 = my 20?
Either way, with the bass and trebile turned up, it wasn't very good at loud volumes. My Infinity speakers however....
I can play music on "max" and there is very little distortion heard.

I have not noticed any distortions as long as I'm using the AUXIN with my MP3 player, and only taken it up to level 55, treble is set to 0, bass to +6.
I can take a look and see how high I can spin the dial though

i swear i don't even consciously hear it any more unless i am intentionally listening for it. but then i have the ability to push sounds to the back round and ignore them when other people are annoyed by them .
like at work when people were all like " dang i wash we got some new music i am so tired of these songs" i was like " whats playing?" because literally i had just let it sink to back round noise that i ignored. i could tell when it wasn't on but what was playing was no concern to me

By lvl 45, everything is trembling, especially the mirrors, to the point where it's hard to see the reflection.. it's just big blurs moving around a shaking mirror

It's incredibly loud.
Edit:
I just tried pushing it past 55... I couldn't.. felt like my ears were going to bleed and then explode violently.. o.o
