Can I turn this shit off somehow? lol It's pretty annoying..

Why would you want to turn it off? Are you constantly rev'ing past the redline? As rev happy as the renesis is, I'm not exactly sure it's healthy for it to be rev'ed to the point where the beep becomes something that goes off very often..

i find the beep quite satisfying. and useful/helpful.

yes, there are several ways to make the beep go away:
-play your music louder
-full exhaust, headers back
-rev to 8k
-get annoyingly loud girlfriend

I like the beep. when you go autocrossing or to the drag strip you don't have to look down at the RPM's... just listen for the beep!

step 2:push until you feel resistance
step 3:apply hammer to nail until you no longer feel resistance
step 4:repeat on right ear

That beep should be music to your ears. You have surrendered your man card. Hand those keys over!

The beep is almost a trademark of the Rotary. I loved it in my 7 and I love it even more in my 8. Jeremy Clarkson loved it so you should too !

I agree. Most of the time, I can't hear it. I've been thinking about rigging up a redline light.

I also agree that the beep is not loud enough.

It's pretty loud on mine, even with the music at lvl 40 I can still hear it

In the '09's, mazda raised the sound level of the beep, so it's louder than the '04-'08 model rx8's.

Level 40 on the radio? Holy Shiat...Mine on like 20 is loud.

I like the beep, but with agency power full exhaust its hard to hear anything ;)

Good. When i test drove my first 8 the salesman told me to floor it until it beeps. I heard nothing... whoops.(didn't end up buying that one ;) )

I still don't hear it some times.

I've put it as high as 55, maybe it goes higher, dunno how quality is affected though (I use my MP3 player btw.. not the radio, and it's the Bose system). Everything was vibrating.. was rather fun.. but then I couldn't hear very well for a good 30mins after getting out of the car :(

The 04 to 08 head units only go to 33, then "MAX" my stereo spends a lot of time there.

Yer nuts. Highest I'm at is like 15.. :uhh: And that's with my CarPC volume at max.
