I had my 8 in for a CEL and I was given a Lincoln LS V8 for three days. NIICE CAR!!! The Hertz rental manager told me that our warranty guarantees us a Mazda 6 or better. She said the worse that I would ever receive from her rental office is a Mustang. I can live with that...

mrtux, As far as I know, most rental companies no longer have mileage limitations. Time limitations however, I do not know about. Since the vehicle is being paid for by the dealership, I would assume the time limit is up to them.

The time limit is how long the dealership takes to get the 8 fixed. And the mileage is unlimited. There is no way Mazda can charge us while our car is in their shop for warranty work. I had a Protege' while I was waiting for delivery of my 8 (they didn't want me to go out and get crazy with my M3 while I was waiting for the 8 to arrive since I had 3 weeks). I wanted something better but the dealership was all out of loaners and had to give me a used car they had for sale.

Everytime I go in for service I am done before I would need the loaner. Guess I'm just lucky.
