Rebuild Review Rotary Resurrection

So after getting low compression and having bad hot starts I decided to do an engine rebuild.

Kevin Landers better known as Rotary Resurrection has helped me through this whole process spending hours of his time in the late hours of the night helping me during my process.

I originally was planning on rebuilding my engine by myself but I figured out it would be cheaper to buy a rebuild from Kevin.

So being my first rebuild ever I had many questions. I ended up sending a few messages to Kevin and he was very helpful from questions about removing the engine to cleaning the actual engine parts the proper way. When I removed my engine and started to take apart the engine I had some trouble so I asked Kevin for some help around 11pm at night. He responded promptly with much respect as he knew I did not need sarcasm where as some other people might have responded with. It ended up taking me 2 hours to fully take apart the engine. Kevin was very patient and nice about it even though it was 2am by the time I finished.

He spotted the problem with my engine right away where as I would have taken much longer to see the problem because most of my engine looked like it was in great condition.

Kevin helped me even further by giving me a long detailed description of how to clean each major part of the engine from the rotors to the housings.

After looking at all the parts Kevin let me know how to approach the situation and did not push me to do anything I did not want. Instead he just recommended things to do.

I ended up going with giving him my block and purchasing a rebuilt one from him. Kevin uses quality materials and gets great parts from the best. He also will use any brand upon recommendation from you if you desire a different company.

Kevin gives detailed instructions on how to break in the engine properly and how to start it up the first time. He also has a page on rx8club.com to show you how to remove the engine for free. He also can remove the engine if that is what you desire.

Overall I am truly pleased by his service and expertise. He is very friendly and does a very amazing quality build. His engines are also very affordable. They come with a warranty also which is not something you get from rebuilding yourself.

spun rotor bearing, destroyed rotor, eshaft, main bearings, other rotor bearing, also damaged front and intermediate iron faces from rotor rubbing against it.
