If its any consolation, its raining in So Cal now and it handled perfectly in the rain. The 8 kept me where I was supposed to be even on corners (DSC on). Take her out, give it a try.

Handling in the rain is well above average. However, handling in snow/ice with the stock performance tires is horrible (plenty of threads on this). I unfortunately experienced it first-hand tonight - about 70 miles of icy, snowy, variable road conditions on Rt 80E through the Poconos in PA tonight. Downright scary at times... I didn't expect it to perform in the snow/ice, and wouldn't have taken the 8 on the trip if I knew the roads were going to be so bad on the way back home. I counted at least 6 cars that spun out and slid off the road...

I just went San Diego to Burbank (again) last night and in the pouring rain for most of it. The car feels good in the rain and I was probably going 65-80mph where permitted, which is a little bit faster than I normally drive in the rain.
Anyhow - no issues at all, very well behaved in rain.
I generally keep the traction control turned on unless I'm on a faimilar road to have fun. I don't find it very intrusive under most normal circumstances.

Just bought my WB RX8 yesterday. Drove it home in the rain and I must say it handled superbly, even at high speeds. I'm so in love with this car and to be honest I think it handles better than my mom's G35c in the rain (and I only got the basic 6sp, no sport package or anything)! Hey Doug, I'm also in Vegas.
