Questions about various things
Got a K&N Typhoon v2 intake installed some weeks ago. The sound is just awesome but I have some concerns about it. First of all, I'm getting crazy annoying rattling from somewhere inside my car when I hit 5k RPM'ish during acceleration. I can live with it but I'd rather get it fixed if someone might know how. Second is that I've had problems with a bit rough idling after I installed the K&N. I believe the intake is the reason but is it fixable? First oil refill after the installation left me with a dipstick with milky stuff all over it. Searched a bit and figured it's normal during cold weather (I'm located in Norway and it's been pretty cold these days). But since I've never experienced it before I got the K&N, I wondered if there's any possibility the K&N is causing it. Another thing is that I read that the K&N may cause problems during hot weather. This will be a bit problematic seeing I'm going to Spain this summer and I'm planning on bringing the car to a racing track down there. Are there any 'easy' ways of keeping the K&N from sucking in too much hot air causing the engine to overheat? Last of all, we're required to have numberplate in front of our car and it's actually covering most parts of the grill. Will this cause noticable problems and should I consider getting a smaller-type numberplate? Picture:

K&N intake has nothing to do with your milky dipstick.
The only way to prevent the intake from sucking in hot air is to drive somewhere that has no hot air.
Most of the front grill is blocked by hard plastic as part of the design. The only issue you have with the plate is that it makes your 8 sad.
Happy Rotoring!

I had the K&N v2 intake before I got my AEM CAI and never experienced a rough idle. I would go back and make sure all of your hoses are connected.
As for the vibrating. That you will not be able to fix. This intake is loud and once you go above 5500 rpms your dash will vibrate.
As for sucking in hot air. Unless your 8 is moving this intake will be sucking up hot engine air. You can buy the Racing Beat ram air duct, which will help, however when you are at a dead stop your IAT will go through the roof!

Ok I'll consider a RB air duct once summer closes in. Did some searching but didn't really find a pleasing answer to all my questions. Another thing, once I get a passenger in one of the rear passenger seats, the car seems to become very much lower and the car body closer to the wheels. Is it normal for the stock suspension to be this 'soft'?

Just wondering if anyone's got a picture of RB Air Duct installed together with another aftermarket intake? Preferally the K&N. Will it even do a difference from the stock air 'duct' that's already there when it's not together with the Racing Beat Revi Intake?
