Exclamation Purchased 2006 RX-8, please help!!!

Hey everyone, Ive always wanted to own an rx8 and usually visited this site to get basic info, and now I have finally got on, although used, I still love it. Its a 2006 GT model, automatic tiptronic, with 70000km on it. I wanted to know if there was anything that I should know about in terms of maintenance because I am very familiar with regular engines but this is my first rotary.

I got the car 2 weeks ago, but this morning, while I was cruising at around 65-80kph and in 6th gear automatic, the car started vibrating, and it would only go away if I pushed on the gas or switched to manual. I am getting worried already and wondering if I made a mistake in purchasing the rx8, any help or information would be really useful.

Another issue that I have seen is that the car kind of struggles to start in the morning or after a day or so. Any reason for this or a recall??

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

first off, welcome to the club! Where are you located?

You should start by reading the "stickies" and the FAQ's for any maintenance tips.

As for your issue, it could be anything from a large stone in your tire treads, to transmission, etc.

in the very forum you posted this thread, there is a thread called "New and potential owners, start here". Read the first bit. The "experts here" answer these questions a bajillion times lol. The answer is out there, and easier to find than you think

As for a compression test, it's just that. It measures the compression in your engine

never trust no name stealerships
they prob scammed ur ***

why do you think the car is there to begin with and not a regular dealership?

ESPECIALLY TORONTO
you stay away from FARAZ, they will scam you so bad...
or some other ones.

I went with one of my buddy who is a pro mechanic, and he told me every car in there has been in an accident, and just repaired to look new.
since in canada you can sell even frame damaged cars
