New Mazda RX-8... Need some tips.

I will be turning 16 next week and just got my first car. We bought a 2005 Silver Mazda RX-8 with 80K Miles it. I am HOOKED to this car... can't wait to get my license next week! The car was already decked out with the grand touring, sports, and touring package in it. I am thinking about saving up over the next year or so to invest in some lambo doors but I wanted to get other people's opinion that have had them on the RX-8 before. Also if you have any tips about them please let me know! I got about 9 or 10 pics of it on my profile if anyone wants to check it out!

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new car. Don't buy lambo doors, if you don't have a full body kit the car will look silly. It's your first car save you money for maintenance if you have extra cash, coilovers, bhr ignition coils, cobb access port. Also induction and exhaust make the car sound better but not much to gain power wise.

another one bites the dust...

You will have many questions, but the majority of those have been answered in the "stickies" in each sub-foum (located at the top of each page).
Read them before posting a new thread.

Also, it's best to avoid asking opinions on certain things ("what looks best", "is_ car better than the 8", "do I look tat in this dress", etc). You may not want to hear the response lol

edit: and WHAT THE EFF is the grand touring, sport, and touring package?? They are each a different trim...

Not sure about the lambo doors, but to each, their own. Anyway, your only 16, and you should invest in college, not with this car. Don't get me wrong, but investing in a car does not actually raises the value of the car, it usually goes down as time goes by. The rx8 is already good as it is. Keep it stock (maybe a few this and that), but investing too much in a car is a waste of money.

hey kid, start saving some money, you're going to need to for maintenance.
im suprised you chose the rx8

its a different life style, its a culture, to take care of this car.

oil top ups
maintenance
gas
so on and so forth.

and much more.
