It would take me to long to dignify this with a response.
So here’s the short version, you don't know anything about rotary or sport cars in general, your a whiner and has a rich daddy to lick your ***, O and I'm 10 times the man you are.
Grow up, im a year younger then you and your acting like a spoiled little brat!

It's refreshing that Jeup's attitude isn't indicative of your generation as a whole. Crap like this thread worries me about the future sometimes...

Not to be rude, but how are you "10 times a man than me"? I am 210 lbs., 6' tall, I bench press 325 lbs. I was an all state running back this year, and I have division 1 teams that offered me scholarships. I've been in a relationship for 2 years with my girlfriend, I've worked since I was 14. In the picture, you appear to be a "geek"? What gives?
BUT, you are right about one thing, I know absolutely nothing about a Rotary engine; and I don't plan on learning anything either. I don't know how to change my oil. Big deal... When you buy a car, you shouldn't need to know these things. You should just drive the car, and that is that. My dad has had numerous "sports cars", and he knows less than me; I bet if I asked him how much hp his Maranello had, he wouldn't know. I don't see him differant because he doesn't know much about a car, that information is for mechanics, etc.--The blue-collar field.
I don't want to disclose my dad's business, but I will say one thing.... It is to the Furniture world, what Giorgio Armani is to clothing. His company produces the best quality furniture in the world, hands down-nothing is close. But that comes at a price, that the top 5% can afford; and those are his customers. He also produces OEM dash parts for top-line German car makers, makes OEM pieces for Herman Miller, and Steelcase, etc. He has a 40-piece furniture line also. It is very successful, he was voted as one of the top 40 Entreprenuers in the US, a couple years back.

Well I find it ironic that he complained he had an automatic which he couldn't put any aftermarket into, yet he has a midpipe and intake ready to install. I find that generally he is inconsistent and has incorrect information. The 350Z does not drive better in the snow, is not more reliable, and there is not some long complicated procedure for the 8. If the engine is cold and you want to turn the car off, rev to 3k rpms and then turn it off. Other than that you can turn the key to on for 2 sec, then crank it for starts in cold weather. It has started here fine when it was 2 F. The only problem I have had in the cold weather was that the tire pressure sensor came on when it was 2 F and went away after 2min of driving. I monitored tire pressure the night before and knew that it was within the acceptable range.

Ever heard of tire feathering and getting new set of tires every 4-5 thousand miles? Z is a great car with its own share of problems. I bet you'll think your Z is lemmon as well in a couple of months.

Kids!!!! Settle down! Go to your rooms and when you are ready to apologize to each other, come out and grow up!
Besides, I looked at Jeup's furniture website once a while back and they sell custom furniture, the kind I could never afford.
So, just let it all die down, he's made up his mind, let him trade it in, someone will get a slightly used broken in AT RX-8 at, hopefully, a reasonable price and join the RX-8 Club Forum and tell us how nice their car is and how they got such a deal because the dealer who sold it to them told them he's been ripping off this rich guy's family for at least 4 different cars so far and that he has made a nice profit off of it. After all, I am sure it's a tax write off of some sort.

I don't understand why people have to get in here and bitch. Lets get the problems solved and if you don't like your car you shouldn't have bought it. You had time to do research before you drove it off the lot. I have owned many sports cars and every one of them have had there quirks. I don't think there is such a thing as a perfect car.
But I love the way my 8 drives and I love the styling...
I will get off my soapbox now,

As far as a "geek" at least this geek drives a stick.
Edit: Also on the topic of geek didn't you have a picture of yourself shirtless in your avatar?
And FYI Just because it’s a blue collar field doesn’t mean that you shouldn't learn anything form their professions. In fact a good business owner, your case furniture, should know every aspect of his company right down to how the pieces of wood, leather are stained.
And I'll bet the reasons your cars break is because you know nothing about them, did you even bother to brake in your Rx-8, do you add oil every 2000 or so miles, do you take steps to avoid flooding!

First Year Bugs
I'm probably a little late to this thread and have foregon the "Soap Opera" of the little rich kid that seems to be complaining a bit too much . . . so I will make this very brief and get my 2 cents in quickly.
I am 44 years old and bought a brand new 1990 Porsche Carrera when I was 30 years old. Eighty-Three percent (83%) of the car had been changed from the former 911 model, and guess what?
It was full of bugs.
From the fuel gauge that did not work upon delivery to high beem bulbs and half the horn going out at just 22,000 miles! Can you believe that? The freaking high beam bulbs and horn went out at 22,000 miles! As if I was driving the car in NYC like a taxi cab or something and on the horn constantly! Give me a break.
I also had a junk Blaupunkt stereo with lousy speaker connections. I had a high pressure oil line blow, as did an oil reservoir that needed to be replaced. But the final straw was a flywheel that cracked ( design flaw that many C2's had from 1990-92 ) and spilled a silicon fluid all over the clutch pads and destroyed the clutch! Porsche paid for the new flywheel, but guess who was asked to come up with $995.00 for a new clutch?
Yep, yours truly.
So, suffice to say that first year model cars frequently run into a lot of bugs. If you don't want to deal with them, just wait for the 2005 RX8 that will be coming out in August. Otherwise, don't get your hopes up to high with a 350Z. I hear that the front tires make a tremendous amount of roadnoise and wheel alignment on those suckers is a bitch. So much so that tires get "feathered" real quickly and are totally done after a few thousand miles.
Good Luck.

Just glancing over the posts, you really do beat the **** out of cars. I know what causes those problems you mentioned. Can you say rally car?? You act exaclly like some of the spoiled I went to school. Beat the **** out of the car and daddy will by me a new one. I watch a girl launch her car 100 feet (it was flying) totaling that car and all she said I didn't like it. It was a fully loaded Mustang I would say retail was are 32,000 (not exactly sure never check prices). BTW I saw a true description of a lemon on this forum somewhere...I think it was a 350z. This lemon like other lemons are and nothing but problem from the factory this Z in a couple months after delivery was having the pain flak off, leather seats crack, interitor falling apart, electronic problems...that is a lemon. Your 8 is suffering from abuse, its obvious. Common blown speaker? You are acting like a irresonsable teenager that has no respect or pride in what he drives. You abuse the thing and is have problems and it is that cars fault? I don't think so. I saw that problems of the pervious cars and those problems aren't considered lemons. ECU problem, replace the ECU problem fixed, tranny Isn't going into gear (I think that was you abusing it judging from your 8) slap a new in fixed, that isn't lemon, that is considered fraud and the dealership could have a lawsuite against you. You only mentioned one problem per car, lemons have several problems at the sametime.
Your 8 is suffering from abuse (there is a difference between driving hard and abusing) I can see it clearly, because all spoiled kids act the same. Spoiled kids attitude "I didn't pay for is so I can beat the **** out of it, my dad will get me another" As you said above "I beat the **** out of the car" is that really the problem of the car, no the user is abusing the car so of course problems will arise. Blown speaker?? Maybe you shouldn't listen to heavy base songs with the volume all the way up?

So we have a spoiled, rich teenager all-state jock who is too good for anyone.
That song sounds familiar! $50 says he drop out of college due to poor grades and ends up being a stock boy at daddys furniture company. Nahh, never mind, daddy will take care of everything.
Oh... by the way, it's spelled "Entrepreneur"

His dad sounds pretty successful. I bet he really did have to walk miles to school, really did have to work to help the family, and really earned/worked his way up. He just didn't instill any of those values where he should have.
