Pricing on 40thANIV / GT

Sorry, >.> can someone move this to the 'Purchasing, Financing, & Insurance' category.

I know that cars can be often bargained for, which would shave a couple hundreds-thousands off the listed price.

Did anyone here buy their RX8 40th Aniv or GT for less than the listed price by >1000$? Or is there a reasonable price to not go below on this lovely car.

I would personally shell out 31,000 for this car, but my family won't :p so I'm wondering what's a reasonable price to attempt to get the price of the car to.

Thanks for your help in advance,

Well, I had King's Mazda in Mason Ohio down to @ $26,192 after rebates/incentives on a Anniversary model. It was the end of the month.. Here's the thread outlining the drama: https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-discussion-3/time-sensitive-advice-needed-136818/

I decided to stay with my 04 GT, despite the great price. My car has been trouble free and it's almost paid off. So it didn't make sense. If I needed to, I would have bought on that price.

you may get >2k cash back if you're both good at negotiating and lucky, and if you're at the right place at the right time.

since you have money for brand new, you might want to wait for the 2009 facelifted/upgraded models

^^^I'll agree with killerfish. I was looking at one and was quoted a similar number (can't remember exactly). My '04 is paid off and I was thinking about it but I think I'll wait on the '09s first. If they don't feel any different with the new gear ratios I might get a leftover '08. Special edition or not nobody wants these cars so you should not be paying anywhere near sticker for them.
