Is that a pressure sensor?

Can anyone tell me what this is please?

IS it a pressure sensor? And is the "vaccum" on it supposed to go anywhere because mine is about 2.5" long, looks like it has been cut and does not connect to anything?

Also, what would make an RX8 get slower and slower as it warms up? It cuts off at 7000rpm also when its at operating temp...Compression is fine, spark and fuel also, so now I am wondering about sensors and stuff and while looking around for a clue I noticed this sensor (which looks like a pressure sensor) with a 2" vacuum on it that goes no where. If its the case, then it could explain why the car struggles more and more as it heats up...

Anyone has an idea for the loss of power as the car heats up?

Loss of power?

or - 'cuts off at 7000' what does it do?

Does it stumble, misfire, jerk, stall, or just go slower and slower?

Check your CAT first, then coils.

As your cat heats up its gets clogged more.
As coils heat up, they break down, however this should cause misfres, then a cell.

Very unlikely since not effected by heat.
Dirty air filter, bad spark plugs, bad coils, bad plug wires, dirty injectors, bade gas, bad fuel pump, clogged fuel filter

After you check the cat and coils... if still a problem... then get a compression check at the dealership. May need ne engine or Sea foam treatment.

I say its 1) a bad cat or 2) you need new spark plugs and coils.
