premix specifics

is 2 stroke premix oil supposed to be synthetic?

i've read the motor oil threads and have decided to go with dino oil to be safe.

but whats the point if i'm gonna be mixing synthetic premix?

can someone explain how my 16.9 gallon tank was on e last night, and only took 12 gallons to fill up. do we have a reserve or something??

Some is synthetic, some isn't. Synthetic motor oil is not really a problem in the Renesis, nor would synthetic premix and dino engine oil be a problem, except some (still) think Mobil 1 (still) has an additive that is harmful to the seals. Mixing motor oil is only a problem if you drink it or inject it into your veins. There's a big reserve below E and quite a bit of capacity above F.

Synthetic oil is fine as long as you use the right kind. I premix with Idemitsu racing rotary premix, which is made specifically for rotaries and is synthetic blend.

Where did you see that gas tank as a 16 gallon capacity??

The ratio of premix in the gas is low. It won't make any real difference in the ratio of dino:synth in the engine. Don't overthink it.

repost! lol you had lots of threads early in the a.m. (well, late last night) that required reading the manual . . .

The Owner's Manual (where you should start reading) shows 15.9 gal capacity. This is 60 litres or 13.2 imperial gallons. Not all of the tank's capacity is usable, and the tank is very contorted and split into two parts; however, the system is still very good at getting the maximum out of the tank.

My real-world experience is putting in about a maximum of 52-55 litres when the needle is at "E".

SEARCHING existing threads, this seems about normal.

As with most of the threads you start, you have again shown that YOU ARE "SPECIAL". Congrats?
