Power Steering suspended 3 times in a month

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum. Any advice is appreciated. In mid Aug, I was driving my 04 as usual, but all of a sudden, the power steering light came on, and in maybe 3 seconds or so, the whole steering wheel got locked, got close to being entirely locked. I fortunately was running on a pretty quiet road, so there wasn't much traffic. I then turned off the engine and let it cool for a while. After maybe 3 minutes or so I started it back up, it was fine. I took it to the dealer the following day; luckily, they were able to verify the issue and supposedly "fix" it for me. However, 3 weeks and around 400 miles passed, the same situation happened, but this time was on a freeway. Again, I was lucky enough to be on the right lane, but let me tell you, it was one of the scariest things that can happen to people. So I took it in again, and they said they'd take a better look at the issue. They kept the car for a few extra days to work on it. They then told me that they removed the connector of the power steering system and this time should be fine. So here I am, wondering we if it ever happened again? What would be my options? Of course, I don't ever want to be in that similar situation again. Please let me know what you think.

I guess I'm asking more about options I have with the dealer in case it happened again. Of course, I hope I'll never have to go through that scary experience again. But if I did, should I be asking them to replace the whole power steering system? What would be reasonable?

Replacing the harness (above the radiator fans, where they are telling you to clean) would be reasonable.
That's the connection that some of us have resorted to soldering together.
