Power Steering failure!!!

I have a 2009 RX8 R3 with 27,000 trouble free miles. Until this morning! Woke up and headed to work. As soon as I turned the wheel to back out of my driveway, the power steering light came on and power steering itself went out. Drove to work. Started it again. Acted like it wanted to work for a secoond but then went back out. Any suggestions? Thanks!

have you overheated the engine before?
its well known that the coolant reservoir overflow tube is too short and right above the PS harness connectors. overflown coolant could corrode the connectors and cause PS problem.

since yours 09, I'd take it to the dealer and let them fix it under warranty.

^that...you could do it yourself, just locate the connectors right under the airbox, clean em with some electronic duster and dab some dielectric grease on the prongs and everything should be fine.

yeah man just take it to the dealer and get it replaced under warranty. happened to mine. it can be expensive if they replace the entire module or whatever it's called, but just take it to the dealer. it's common "enough" that they should know and fix it under warranty
