Thumbs up Getting a 6sp m/t!!!!

Been around the forums for almost a year now with my A/T and I am finally trading in my 05 WWP A/T in for a 08 BB M/T!! I was soo pissed when I found out the auto was a "low power" YAY M/T!!!

They bent me over on the trade-in but found it for $17000 sounds great to me. Had them do a compreshion test and check for flashes and all came back good. Goin to pick it up Saturday.

Yea I saw that but while I was reading about the syncro saver I also saw something about a clutch reinforcement bracket.. Is it really that big of a deal?
The lines I will definitely take a look at thanks for the advice.

its a sports car auto or manual, depends on the drivers taste.

maybe true that the MT has more HP/Faster acell but to me, dosen't matter, if your worried about that, buy a nissan or a supra if you want speed. car is ment to be driven right? (sorry for the smart *** rant, just tired of autos being played down)

Considering the lower power nature of the car in general (232 isn't all that much anymore), and it's design to go around twisties.... The AT doesn't really suit the car. You just don't get the same control of gears with the AT as you do with the MT. Yes, I know it has the manual mode, but you are still at the whim of the ECU. Does having the AT make it not be a sports car? Of course not... But it just wouldn't be as buttery smooth.

Gotta love those downshifts into second and get that lovely hard engine braking.

Oh, and congrats on the upgrade OP! It's too bad they didn't make Winning Blue after 06.... Haha Black is always a good option though!

And to all the people sayin A/T vs M/T
From my experience and my opinion

Mine was the 05 so it was the 4 port 4 speed...... slow. BUT I still had fun in it probably more than I should have had. (especailly on the rainy days :D)

As for the 6 speed, well, the whole drive back I never stopped smiling! haha and on those onramps and s-curves, WAY more fun
Also soo much faster most likely because of the 4 port to 6 port engine as well as just the feeling of a standard trans

any way, I am VERY happy with my trade

the only thing I find that the AT lacks is the starting power. The MT you can rev it up and let go the cltuch and go... the AT just has this lag time until it gets to like 3000-3500rpm then takes off. The paddles do work rather well. I think the AT has the same 9000k red line, it would help it some as well.

I have heard the AT limits you a bit more. No redlining till the engines warmed and such. Just a rumor I have heard though, I wouldnt know I drive the MT.
