Is there someone who can help me find the service history for my RX-8?
My friend sent me this car from California. He didn’t registrate the car in his name. He bought the car in an auction and exported it to me in Norway. The car has no service book. I know all the services and everything that has been done on the car are documented on the Mazda dealer’s computer. But the dealers will not give my friend the service records because the car is not registrated in his name, even after showing them the export paper. The dealer says that only the person who has the car registrated in his name can get this information. It is important that I get this information on my car because of the guarantee and insurance.

Things I would like to know is: Have they done something with the engine, or have they changed anything? I’m not interested in what thing cost, only what they have done with the car.
The car has following data: 2004 Mazda RX-8 #vin. JM1FE173340115537.

Get the person who it is registered to to call them up and get the information for you.

 

The car is bought on a dealer auction. And they will not give us the owners name.
So I still hope someone can help me.

 

Might be worth asking Mazda in Norway to help you by contacting the Mazda dealer in California.

 

Call MNAO, tell them u got it off Auction, and you havent registered yet (or make some bs up about you registered already but probably computer update takes time)

and get the rep to send you a history thru email
