Just wanted to see if I could some more info on the car. I am looking at buying another RX8 and want to know what is this special edition thing about 1 of 500? I was unaware of any special edition. Also, do you have any pics under the hood? Also, what turbo kit or supercharger are you running and what ECU are you using? Sorry for the questions, just want a good idea before I decide to drop that kind of cash. Also, an 04 with 128k trade in value is only $7k, you may want to consider lower the price to $9-$9500.

Hi Nic, not turbo...or supercharger ..Mazda made them in 04 I bought it from Nationwide On York Rd. they had 1 of them..its called a GT Collector Edition..it was $38,000 new my friends own Nationwide Auto world and I got the Car for 27,900+ the extra stuff I got..car has 128,000 on it engine/Trans. have 28,000 on them..

Honestly, I am curious if he actually thinks there were collectors eds and he has a 300+hp car.

I also wonder if he means that he has 300 crank hp. It is not beyond the realm of possibility to have a NA with 225 hp. If you take a very high estimate of frictional losses of 25%, you get 300hp.

Maybe this guy is as cool as he sez he is?

 

lol i wanna see the updates. also i highly doubt theres a collectors other than the shinka and that wasnt limited to 500 either. but again i dont know this for a fact so lets see what he comes up with

 

There were a few very limited edition, including the true Mazdaspeed version back in '03 (JDM only I believe, 300 models), the '06 PZ (UK only I believe, 800 models), and the race version (JDM only also).

Neither of the two above came in yellow.

LOL im calling mine the super rare one of a kind collectors edition never been opened! and all the 85k miles are from the factory!

 

If that's what we're doing, mine is the RX-8 Type R! Super rare version.

I even got the Type R sticker somewhere to show for it!

Sounds like a typical ricer when they start adding up their mod's and HP. They think the mods add up like Gran Turismo, when in reality some mods add HP/TQ, some take away, some add HP/TQ in different RPM ranges.
