Red face Very...VERY intresting, you guys gotta read this.

SO anyway, I was totaly changing my oil, putting only the best...royal purple ofcourse =] anyway, I really felt like I needed to change my plugs out. WELL, I went to take off the rear trailing plug...and I looked down there, and the ******* ignition wire wasn't even on it! (I bought this car at 79k miles) The plug was rusted on the end, and when I took it out, it was burnt so bad...black as hell. So i've been running on 3 plugs for the past 3k miles...

ANYWAY, after an hour of hell swaping my plugs out, fired it up...runs like a freakin dream, it idles so smooth...the power is much more up...I just dont understand how it ran so good with 3 plugs...It kinda makes sense, because it was a trailing plug...so I didnt REALY have to run that plug on the rear housing...

so yeah...runs like a charm now. Has a meaner roar now.

I had nearly the same problem. My wire was just about to fall off. I don't think it was making any kind of contact with the plug. Both the electrode on the plug and inside the wire were all corroded and nasty. The sad thing was that I had just had it into the dealer for the emission recall and they had just changed my leading plugs. Obviously they didn't even touch the trailing plugs. Well, two new plugs and a new set of wires and she's running smoooooth.

Yeah, mine were so corroded and burnt it was unreal, im not joking when I say, I dont think they ever been changed in 80k miles. It was rediculas...The motor sounded completely differnt when I put my new plugs in. I'm new to the renesis so I thought it was already running really smooth...I was wrong.

But im glad I ordered my racing beat wires the other day, because my ignition wires are corroded as well. Makes me sad inside.

Anyway, going to a car show today at a dragstripe. From 5pm to 12. Going to let yal know what I turn over stock.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention, when I was doing my oil change...I seen somthing drip past my face....I looked on the ground beside me and saw a very small pile of green liquid...the only thing going through my mind was....****....I know I dont have a coolent seal leak...

Was looking up past my oil pan to see where it was coming from...thank the heavens...hose was all nasty and had been slightly leaking over time...SO, new silicone hoses will be coming soon...

I noticed I had an oil leak around the front seal of my pan too...wasnt big at all...just alittle wet.

Before you install new wires, be sure to take a careful look at the ends. I just ordered a set of the Mazdamatrix house wires and one of them had an end that was flattened out at one side so it wouldn't have grasped properly w/o some adjustment.

Well I promised I would tell you guys what I could do stock in a 1/4 mile.....i got some dissapointing news.

FYi, this was my first time to ever run on dragstrip.

So I do my little burn out to get that gay water off my wheels, ofcourse I wheel hop like crazy...pull up to the line...im beside a 5th gen prelude...the lights start to drop...I launch it on the 3rd yellow...and relized...****....I didnt even raise my rpms...so I almost completely stalled out...by then the prelude was spinning and ahead of me...untill I hit my tq curve around 7k...then I finnaly started moving...and we were practically neck and neck the whole time, I pulled ahead of him in the end of 2ed and the end of 3rd....the second I crossed the line...toped out 3rd gear.

ANYWAY, I stoped racing because I ran again and I launch perfectly again, but my clutch is weak, it would NOT go into 2ed gear....I was just like...****.

I tryed taking a pic of my timeslip but my camera is dead.

but anyway, heres my timeslip for my first dragstrip run ever.

R/T ... .048
60' ... 2.967
330 ... 7.481
1/8 ... 11.008 (70.17 mph)
1000 ... 14.012
1/4 ... 16.518 (90.36 mph)

soooo.....if it wasnt for that nearly stalling part...I'm sure I could have broke 14.5...cause I lost a good 2secs from that horrible start...I mean, I traped at 90 mph in 3rd gear...

but thats the news...
