Hey guys, im a new member, and i was just wanted peoples opinions on what i should do to my RX8. I got it last year used with about 30,000 miles on it. Its in great condition, and i want to do stuff to it, mainly the exterior of it for show, but i was going to start with the performance first. I wanted peoples opinions on what i should do for the performance? Im open for any suggestions.

 

welcome .................really depends on what your lookin for,,, NA mods yeild 20hp-25hp total and FI mods can get you comfortably north of 300hp... If its been done its on here,,, Search........ happy moddin.. theres alot of people here from Jersey whom have well built cars, maybe show up to some of the events in the NE region of the forum to get the gears turnin....

 

biggest performance mod you can do is to take a driving course.

get a turbo...or...how about....do what YOU want with the car!

 

turbo is the best mod for performance as for custom exterior rims possible a kit but nothign huge or terrible looking there are a few kitted 8's on here withsome pics that look ok but some of the kits are just hidious....

 

Unless you're planning on going FI (Turbo or Supercharger), I'd suggest the AccessPort from MazdaManiac. You can't beat getting a customized tune that optimizes what the car can do NA, with lower coolant temps and increased oil injection as added benefits.

 

Unless you go turbo, there really arn't any aftermarket mods you can do to add any real significant HP. Gains from intake and exhaust are minimal, as the stock systems are already very well designed. Mods such as these are really only going to be for show.

Cobb AP +1

and RP short shifter. In fact, I'd recommend this as the first thing you do.
