So I found an '05 RX-8 Touring 6-speed manual with 28,000 miles on it. Has the Red/Black 2 tone leather interior, 6 disc cd player, rear spoiler, and thats about all I know about it now cause its listed online. I ran a carfax on it and its listed as a one owner which was leased. Appears to be very very clean and great condition. Its listed at $18,800 firm and I blue booked it which came out around $19,200.

I'm really close to pulling the trigger on it, so is this a good deal?

 

just fyi i've been watching an '05 touring near me w/ 25k miles. it also appears to be clean and the price has fallen down now to 14.5k

also touring doesn't have leather. that's a grand touring. 18.8k isn't terrible, but you can definitely do better. you need to check it out in person

 

Yeah i've been looking. I must live in a bad area for them. Their not very common. So the car is a Grand Touring model? Cause the dealership has it listed as a Touring model. So is it a good possibility it has the Xenon headlights and traction control then?


Probably a dumb question but is there any reasons to be concerned about purchasing a previously leased car?

 

Depends upon were you live and the condition of the car.

 

05 6mt touring about 2 months ago. Had 27K. Mint. Went to carmax, offered 11K. Listed it in the paper, on line for 17K, 2 weeks not one call, eventually traded it for a 40th, list 33K. Paid 10 plus my car. Mazda was discounting 8's about 8K. Car is worth about 15 here in S. FL. Check ebay.
