if you are going with leather inside it really does not matter what color.. it is what it is.. get the outside color that makes you happy. as you really can change the inside for not a huge amount of money.

Well, given the obvious fact that you act like a *****, I would say front to back.

 

velocity red should be the one i will buy . i always have black cars and let me tell you after washing the red it dont get that dirty as the black plus for me red look more race type car than black . girls love red too . congrats on your next car

Car number one is pretty much mine just without the spare tire. I would go with that (duh). Black and tan sounds better than the black with black and red interior. The black and red interior is excellent until you reach the steering wheel in my opinion. Waaay too overdone.

 

Oh and I made a decision this morning. If anyone is interested, here is what I decided and why..

I really liked the red and black interior. However, TO ME, on a car that is otherwise all black, it was too contrasty.. too much of the glossy stuff, plus the dealer wasn't really going to discount it very much.

The other black ( with the tan interior sounded really nice... until I remembered why I didn't really care for either of those colors. Black IS stunning, thats a fact, but just like the tan interior, its crazy to keep clean and really shows everything. This particular model was also the cheapest with no packages etc.. but the two strikes of black and tan were too much so it goes bye bye instead of buy buy.. lol

That leaves the red with the black interior. it has the most options, and I have really come to love the appearance package and I really like Sirius radio all ready built in.

They knocked off 7500 ( which includes the rebate of $3500) and I have a coupon for an additional 500 bucks off any new mazda. So its a total of 8K off. Not a bad deal I would say!

I would love to get the Silver GT.. but by the time I finish paying for shipping ( 12-1400 dollars, and the hassle of getting it here and registering it, it becomes way more expensive and time consuming AND its already 2 years old... Im not so sure about cars that sit for a long time like that.. the term lot rot comes to mind..

So thats my decision, Im sticking to it... It was fun and very interesting to watch the poll take place.. Thanks again.. #1 choice wins this time!

Besides if you go to www.mazdausa.com and click on the RX-8 video they have, thats the car!!! So I can see already how its going to look... LOVE that appearance package... and to think, that when I first saw it, I thought "sheesh, what a wast of $1,000 dollars... I still think it costs too much since it doesn't even include the rear wing! but it really completes the look of the car.

 

I don't mind the interior if its on a red car.. It matches well as it brings the exterior in to the interior nicely.. The black with the black and red is way to glossy for my tastes.

Plus I am sure if I wanted to, I could get that red/black interior anytime I wanted to later on, no?

 

If thats what you want, get it. The important thing is that you're getting the car that you want and not the one that you're settling for cuz its a little cheaper or easier to get.

oh I know.. believe me... what do you think got me hooked? Oh and its a balancing act for sure... My other car is a Jetta turbo diesel TDi...

 

I chose the 2nd option because you can just buy and do the rest of the stuff yourself. I came across a Black 04 GT rx8 with navi and brown/black leather seats. No apperance, spare tire kit, 6disk or anything. bought my own sparetire kit and soon to have a body kit.

 

That sounds great! I love the brown and black interior.. Very very classy. But I wanted new and the difference between the two that i narrowed it down to was to little to go with the negatives that the black held otherwise for me. And to get a sport would give up too many goodies for a slightly price.

 

The last thing you want is to walk outside, look at your RX8, and go "You know what, that looks great, but if ONLY I had gotten..."

I wanted my RX8 either in silver or black when I was first started shopping. Then I saw a velocity red one in real life and knew I had to have one. There were a lot of black and silver RX8's for sale, and it was a pain tracking down a red one that I could afford, but in the end I got what I wanted. Finding 8 month pregnant lady selling the car privately ftw!

Oh yeah, only problem I've had with the red is shopping for rims. Chrome and red just don't go very well together in my eyes, and finding the perfect black ones has been impossible. Usually too many spokes or stupid expensive.
