Oil Pan Capacity
I like to do my own oil changes. Changed the oil for the first time and found it took over 4 quarts to get up to the full line on the dipstick. The manual says the capacity is 3.7 quarts. Anyone else with an oil capacity experience?

Keep in mind that you still have some additional capacity that stays in the oil coolers, etc.
A little under 4 qt for the actual changes sounds about right.

If you have a 6speed with dual oil coolers, the system capacity is actually 6.7qts... so how much you get out of it on any given oil change is not a perfect science. I tilt mine a bit with jackstands and can get ~5qts out usually, but about 4qts if I don't. The only important factor is the oil level on the dipstick - just add that last quart slowly until you get it there. After you run it the first time and the filter and lines fill back up, you'll probably have to add a bit more as well.
