I just had my trans fluid re done at the dealership. If there is anything else that might need a fluid change I'm for that too, I just need to do some more research.

Wheels... ehh not a very big concern for me. I rather beef up the suspension and the engine a bit before getting some shinny rollies.

Yup, I kept telling myself I would get wheels because I loved the OEM's.
Then I discovered the Wheels / Tires subforum
A couple grand later.... yeah....

^ true.. At least you got some mods to hold you buy. When I bought the car used the previous owner had 50% tint installed all the way around... so now its an extra $100 to remove and then apply darker tint for me.

Adam: those wheels are too small. Ev5's by Enkei right? there biggest size is 18x7.5

If you're gonna go enkei, go RPF1 or RP03. they come in better sizes and they weigh less than stock IIRC. (i know the rpf1's do at least)

p.s. - in regards to wanting wheels - don't worry, i have that effect on people - ask jedi

Damn I like those wheels too. Im not too much of a fan for the RPF1's or the RP03's.

Anyway I need to apply my new brake pads. Wondering if I should have my stock ones machined or just purchase new replacement rotors.

Just get them turned - if you don't track or autox (or hell, just drive aggressively)often you're not gonna see much benefit in getting aftermarket rotors other than a show factor.

They are nice tho...

not a fan of rpf1's or rp03's huh...sounds like you're gonna have to do some searching then to find your style

agreed.. yeah I told you I'm very picky about wheels. Do you know any other companies that make wheels similar to the Ev5's that will fit the 8 better?

your mod bug will be fed soon within 5 months.....a company that traditionally makes tanks and OEM parts, is moving to the aftermarket auto world....and they have developed ITB's with manifold for the rx8 for $425 and this is no BS...and for you internet search guru's, they make the ignition system for the ferarri enzo and the 430 scudaria. sorry i cant say much more.
