need some helpt took it to the dealership the dealer said i needed a new engine!!!! they didint do a compression check on it either. The said that the warranty on my car has been branded because a previous owner did not give the car proper maintanance and did not show he had given it a oil change in the past 10k miles. The check engine light signaled a code :P0172 but they didint exactly tell me the reason the car stalled they just told me I needed a new engine and it wasnt under warranty. There is this guy in town that worked at the mazda dealerships for 25 years and is a expert with rotary engines , I was advised by a friend to take the car there. The guy told me that he has never heard a mazda dealership dispose a car without even giving it a compression check and said that probably the problem is not too bad. He also mentioned that I should contact mazda support and make a claim stating that they didint have enough reason to put a black flag on my power trains warranty.

The car already has te most updated recalls they didnt really give me another option but to replace the whole engine.. the engine runs perfect on high way it just stalls sometimes when iddle i am having a compression test done tomorrrow at a local shop, that specializes on rx8
