No mate. I said a CAN of tire sealant.

A can costs $10. The Gen-u-Whine Mazda goop costs a squillion.....you wouldn't want to use it on something as trivial as a flat tire..... .

oh dear, this thread is about to go down the toilet!

anyway, you can either pay the $395 (i think that was the price) & get the spare, along with some reassurance/confidence, or you can use duh goo & fork over the $240 for a new tire (obviously more if you are replacing all 4). is that reassurance worth the $155 difference?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the spare tire kit will not noticeably effect the handling of the car.

Mine came with the kit, I have been thinking of taking it out but I know as soon as I remove it I'll get a flat. Plus I'd rather have a spare tire than wait for a tow or use the "goop" to ghetto fix it.

Good point, paying for the spare is just insurance or... "in case ****" as chris rock calls it... I think that if you have AAA with 100 free miles of towing a year then your spare isn't worth it at all...

but then again according to murphy's law, your tire will go flat on that one time your wife is about to give birth and you need to rush her to the hospital at top speed, so it's worth it then...

I wouldn't get it personally, I'm not married.

Also, having the spare tire in the trunk won't help your 0-60 and 1/4 mile times during your street racing. Oh wait, none of you steet race anyway so I guess it wouldn't make a difference.

Put it this way. How many "Oh ****, I got a puncture that I couldn't goop and was stranded on Route 66 for two hours...." threads have you read?

I was here when Moses was a boy, and I haven't read one.
