Unhappy No more 8 :tear: at least for now :)

As some may have read on my other thread, I wrecked my car last month due to my own stupidity. https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-multimedia-photo-gallery-6/wrecked-my-8-a-153022/ At first I was going to get a BMW but the wife did not want to reward me for my mistake (understandably), so I was looking into a used 2005 RX-8. Ultimately I think I made a better decision, I decided to get her a new family oriented car and I would take over her Audi A4. I got her a Mercedes E350 4Matic wagon, great for the family and it's not like wagons of the old days, very luxury and with 268HP it's pretty peppy.

This was a better decision because she now promised to let me get what ever car I want once the lease is up on the Audi, as long as it can fit two car seats and a stroller in the trunk. Two years and counting, though I can try swapalease.com to speed the process This way I have a year or two to see what is out there or coming out. For now it's between the Camaro SS (Z28 if it comes out) or a BMW 335i. But I am still hopeful that Mazda will come through and put the 16x in the next RX car. If they come out with a RX-8 with 280+HP that is under 3,100 lb's I'll be all over it.

It's been fun, I never thought I could miss a car more then I missed my 1995 Z28, but the RX-8 proved that wrong. I had a blast with it both on and off the track. I will continue to lurk around to hear what's going on in the Rotary world and I will even try to make some track days with the Chicago Rotary club. This car by far has been the best all around car I have ever driven, at it needs is a little more HP. I am confident that Mazda will do that for us some time in the near future, hopefully they make some announcement in the next year or two. Take Care

too bad that it happened man, but at least you are in a nice car A4's are pretty nice. I love audi so just stick it out for the 2 years and you can get yourself a very nice car after. Lots of new things comming out :D. Good luck with all of that man!

I never new how well the A4 handled and how peppy the engine was, we always had the baby in there so I never really got to push it. Now I can and it's pretty fun, not in RX-8 territory though. The one thing is that the interior is awesome. I'll stick with it until something comes along that peaks my interest (16x RX-?)
