New Wiper Blades
holy bump! I added the rain-x additive to my washer fluid and it works great. I am still running the OEM blades - now heading into a second winter. So the 12k wiper blade issue I previously reported has been resolved by rain-x additive.

make sure that you are pushing the tab away from the blade. when you are holding the tab in pull the assembly towards the ground and it will come off. the end of the wiper arm is a hook and the wiper blade assembly just slides and locks into the hook. hope that helps
I just put some Bosch Micro Excel+ wipers on my commuter car and have been happy with them but it hasn't rained on them yet. The prev. owner of the car had Bosch on them and they were crappy, but then I think they were at least 2-3 years old. So I don't think its the fault of the blades.
I didn't read through te other 2 pages but tirerack has the Valeo Blades on sale for BOGO again. $20 for a set

I have a set from a few months ago and they are still holding strong, they look sexy too!

I replaced the stock ones with RainX and changed the windshield washer fluid with RainX. good combo, better than what mazda had, and was cheaper
i buy it from tirerack valeo wiper blade, they are the same design as bosch icon. and bosch icon cost $40 dollar, valeo cost less than $30. tire rack has the deal buy one get one free, i had it on both of my cars. i love it, really good wipers
Th new michelin weather wise blades are real nice.....no metal all rubber and is shaped and easily sticks to the windshile they are the nicest i used and i got mine at sears auto center for 15.99 a blade...they are pretty nice
This seems like what I need. It's like the constant ice/freezing/snow has caused mine to not be flush with the window anymore (of course mine are pretty old).
my personal experience is that using the Rain-X windshield washer fluid greatly increases the service life of ANY wiper at any price
so once this pair of wipers i have are done, i'll probably just get some middle of the road wipers and keep using Rain-X washer fluid

Just bought and installed the Michelin Radius series blades. (suppose to be their high end stuff) I was going to buy the BOGO Valeo deal off tirerack for $28.40 shipped. But I was at WalMart an hour later and dove into these at $30/pair. They look VERY close to the frameless Valeo's.... we'll see how they do. If I don't like them, I'll take them back. It's WalMart!
I picked up and installed a set of Bosch Icon about a year ago. I like the design and that they were complete replacement. They work ok from the start except there is not enough pressure on the passenger side to wipe it clean. It misses 3-4 inches on the far right side of the windshield. Certainly doesn't affect driving but I find it kind of annoying. Like the other post mentioned it also will temporarily streak the windshield. I have found that this happens if there is not enough fluid on the windshield. I have to wait until it is pretty wet until I wipe or else I get the streaked effect. It also happens when using the wiper fluid on a warm/hot day.
Next time I plan to definitely go back to the OEM as they actually work pretty darn good.

I am with you on the RainX blades. I got a pair a couple of months ago and I think they are the best. I have tried the Bosh also. I replaced them after only having them on a week. They do not make good contact with the windshield.

I put BOSCH ICON wiper blades on my wife's MDX. They are great! They definitely have the slickest and easiest method of installation.
I installed PIAA wiper blades last year on the 8 and have been very happy with them. Like the BOSCH, they are quiet, streak free and they need just one swipe to clear the windshield.
The appearance of the BOSCH ICON are somewhat bulky in appearance vs. the PIAA's and for that reason I prefer them over the ICONs for the RX-8.
