I am looking at buying an RX-8 in the next couple of months and I have narrowed my search down to a 2007 GT or 2008 GT/40 ANVI both with the 6 Speed Manual

In either white, black, or red with leather inteiror
Also it must come with a sunroof.

Hopefully I can find one fast.

btw ive heard the navi sucks, i dont have one on mine but my friend has one in his and it makes him take such weird roads to get places. You cant put a gauge pod in the center location with navi which means you lose a very good place to put gauges.

 

White does look so sexy on the 8 thought.

 

I do love the 40 Anvi but my budge is about 14-15k, So id have to find one priced well to get it. Hopefully I can because its a pretty sick model.

i paid 18.5 for mine with 30k miles,

i saw one go on the forums for 14k with 29k miles.. lol.

 

Yeah, last time I checked for available 40th AEs, the prices were still around 15-21K

I wish I had jumped on that one!!!!!!!! Not sure if the owner just didn't need the money, but it seemed underpriced. Somebody got lucky somewhere

 

it was a month after i got mine too.. wtf. i could have bought that one and turbo'd it with the leftover cash lol.

im pretty sure it came with coilovers or aftermarket springs and 5zigen fno1rc rims in bronze with nice tires.

i think the deal was that the dealer was going to give him 14k for it for trading it in, so hed rather sell it on his own for that same price and not make the dealer rich.

i got my 40th in Bridgewater acura, they specialize in rare and hard to find sports cars. When i was there they had 2 limited edition nismo 350z's, a few charger super bee's, 5 civic si's, 2 s2000's, a bunch of m3's, 2 of those orange vw gti's.

Its the same dealer that i picked up my 09 touring too. When i went to pick up the 09, they had a new black r3 on the lot, i was pissed lol.

a few weeks ago they had another 40th anny. Anyway, if you are looking for a hard to find model just go there and they will get one for you.

 

I think I did reach out to them and I also found this dealer called auction direct USA. So we will see in a few months once I have enough money saved. Basically so I can pay most of it up front.

 

Find a 40th, they're special.

 

Love the 40th AE! It's the second best RX-8 (next to the '05 Shinka, of course.)

I've wanted a red one at first, but i couldn't resist on the white one.

 

EricB, nice 40th anniv there but I notice you have Nexen tires on it. I've also got Nexen's on my '09, car had them when I bought them and I figured it was just the selling dealer being a cheapskate since they'd installed them. Though I don't actually have any real evidence to go by after a year's driving, I've convinced myself these are crap tires versus say Bridgestones or another better known brand. What are your thoughts on them and do you hear any unusual tire roar?
