Yeah... compression/bewbs... anything to get in the mood right?!
Compression test results: yay!
Rotar #1 07.3, 07.4, 07.3
Rotar #2 07.1, 07.2, 07.2
@234
... And... I went ahead and got raped again, and had them put new plugs in when they did the compression... no labor... just $160+ for plugs... ugh. Oh well, it was badly in need, and wow! what a difference!
This car feels flawless at 130!

^^ You're just a dilligent thing aren't ya?!?
...
I know that that's in the "acceptable range" ... but is that really all that great?
I know that they just replaced the plugs with stock plugs, is there a plug set that would be better to use when I replace them next time? any reccomendations?
Also, I am going to be doing wires next... Is there anything better that I can use than what's on there... remember... all stock parts right now. (I'm super newbie to working on cars without someone TELLING me what to do...)
I want to learn... please teach... or I guess I should just go read more... I've been looking at pictures...

My compression for my engine was 5.4...A royal failure of failures when I sent it in. You could be like me and mooch on friends with big garages and **** tons of tools and offer them food and alcohol in return for their services?
I just got in my footwell lights and they are SICK! You'd like the red in there :-)
And bewbs get me going...Compression tests not so much...Although, I was the biggest ******* during my compression tests.. I basically sat NEXT to the guy doing the test breathing down his neck asking him questions EVERY step of the way! :-D

Stock plugs are the way to go. Nothing better out there.
For wires, I'd go with pretty much any of the wire sets out there over stock. Check BHR (black halo racing), mazdatrix, or any of the other vendors for pricing. After market wires tend to have better ends on them than the stock ones and that's important. For a stock car, wire size doesn't mean much.
If you want to nip a future wear item in the bud, check out BHR's ignition. It seems pricey, but you won't have to worry about change coils every 30k miles and it's much more reliable. In the long run, it will save you time and money.
As stated, finding friends with garages and tools is key.
Keep reading. Once you get your hands dirty though, it will all become easy.

Ok, so I checked out BHR, you're right the ignition is a little on the pricey side, but... and now again, I don't want to seem stupid... but alas... I am a bit... so, am I right in that if I get the new ignition it is coming with wires... so replacing the wires and then getting a new ignition in a week or so would be stupid... no? I was thinking down that road and I want to make sure that I'm understanding the part right. Replacing the ignition with the BHR ignition is essentially replacing the wires and coils... right?
God, I'm such a typical girl....
minus the bewb showing...
and I wanna work on my car...
... heh.

Yes, the BHR ignition replaces your coils and wires. If you're thinking of going that route soon, don't bother replacing the wires now. Stock style wires won't work with the BHR kit.
The reason i suggested it is because the stock coils are good for 15k to 30k and are between $35 and $45 a piece at most places. Wires are usually around $70 depending on the set. So to replace them all, you're looking at $200. with the BHR kit, you'll probably never have to replace the coils.
The need to go to the BHR kit has been argued to death. Some people swear by it, some people think it's absolutely unnecessary. I plan on going with it for my next coil change.

You can also get BDW coils (which is what I did) because they have a lifetime warranty on them, so whenever you feel like they've gone bad, bring them back to Shucks and they'll replace them for free.
Also, in order to find small little modifications like that, you just have to search around on the forums. http://www.v-leds.com as well as http://www.superbrightleds.com are the two sites that supply the best products. You'll have you learn a little bit about soldering if you don't already know how to, but most of these things take 10 minutes if you know how to do it right. The puddle light take some time because you have to pull off the interior of your doors, but, it's all worth it in my opinion. If you want some pictures PM me and I'll send you what I can!

^^You guys crack me up!!!
So... I'm thinkin seriously about the ignition kit from BHR... it's under $500 shipped... so I don't think that will be too much of a problem. The plugs were about shot, so I'm thinkin the coils and wires are a good start on replacing...
Makristal: puddle lights... are those the little lights on the doors that shine down on the window and door locks? Cause I already have red ones... hehee... they're pretty!
...Oooorr... is that something different?

The door lock/unlock lights are actually your blinkers. You dont really need to change those out.
Look into getting clear corners, footwell lights (lights up your pedals), and better bulbs for your fogs, tail lights, corner lights, and the small inside light in the head light. I forget what its called.
you haven't meet me yet krys
