New alarm sensor installed

Yesterday, I had the "new" sensor installed. It had a manufacture date of Feb 6, 2004 on the box. It seems to work great.

My dealer did a nice job on the install, too, substituting black zip ties for the white ones that came in the kit.

It takes a good bump to set it off, but not just a little tap. Seems like they fixed the problem. I'll post as I get more time with it.

It looks just like the old one. Just not so sensitive. It has been good so far. I like the idea that if someone f@#ks with my car, that it scares the crap out of them, just not going off every time thunder strikes. We'll see if they fixed it or not. It was a freebie from my dealer.

Never heard of a "premium" one. Only found the new updated one on the trusville site and that one is $47.65
Mine has been ordered and I should receive it soon.
