New alarm sensor installed

Yesterday, I had the "new" sensor installed. It had a manufacture date of Feb 6, 2004 on the box. It seems to work great.

My dealer did a nice job on the install, too, substituting black zip ties for the white ones that came in the kit.

It takes a good bump to set it off, but not just a little tap. Seems like they fixed the problem. I'll post as I get more time with it.

well I just sent ya a PM. just in case...

so what is this sensor....the upgraded "premium" one or a recall? and what on the car is more likey to go off....same things as the original sensor?

It looks just like the old one. Just not so sensitive. It has been good so far. I like the idea that if someone f@#ks with my car, that it scares the crap out of them, just not going off every time thunder strikes. We'll see if they fixed it or not. It was a freebie from my dealer.

ya see, theres a "premium" one out there and its like 60 or so.

I found it on that Trussville site, that dealership thats in Alabama

so I wonder if they gave ya the original, prolly so, or the $60 for FREE. hhmmm

Never heard of a "premium" one. Only found the new updated one on the trusville site and that one is $47.65
Mine has been ordered and I should receive it soon.
