Racing Beat, Pettit Racing and Mazdamart and Mazdatrix and other rotary specialists can get you the parts to rebuild the 79 engine with newer, better components, including electronic ignition. I have owned all three generations of RX7s and had no problems getting engine parts for modification, making my early 12A and 13B engines sing a new and better song than ever.

I used a gasket kit and rotor rebuild kit from atkins rotary when I rebuilt my 12A. Everything combined was maybe $1000 since I had to get a new (used) housing too.
