Need just a little more help from all you gr8 people!
Hey again everyone,
So I'm going to go ahead and purchase the AFE STS, as well as Rotary Accents for the front and rear of my car.
2 Questions:
1) From what I've read, the STS lowers the shift **** into the boot somewhat. Many people seem to be getting voodoo or other roundish ***** after getting the STS. But... could I still use the stock **** comfortably? I really like the look of it and fear that it will be uncomfortable after the swap.
2) The Rotor Accents... I am probably going to purchase an alluminum set from rotary13b1. Can anyone tell me the quality of these? From what I've seen around the forum, fit is good... But what concerns me here is the material, and if they're not going to "powder". I may just end up going OEM here if things are too iffy.
Anyway, one way or another, I'm going to place the orders today. I appreciate all help in this regard!

hey Null: the shifter will work perfectly with the OEM ****. It's mainly designed to shorten the throw between gears, not the actual height of the shifter.
I believe there's a while sleeve in it that could be moved to adjust height. (been a while since I took mine off)

OEM is the same material as the ones from Rotary13b1, no? I think both are subject to the elements, it's just that 13b doesn't bend you over on the price.
No problems so far with the rear accent from 13b and I think (can't remember when I got it) I'm 1/2 way through winter #2.
But I have the stainless on the front from the UK.

I have both accents form Rotary13b1 and they are both about 6 months old or so and still doing well. I say good choice with those.... and beats the price of OEM.

Thanks everyone!
Jedi: Yeah I know the purpose of the STS, but I also knew it was shorter (lower, as in farther into the boot) than stock. With everyone getting voodoo *****, it had seemed to me that the stock shifter grip wasn't comfy. But it seems most of you haven't had issues so I'm confident I won't either.
As for the Rotor Accents, I think I'll bite the bullet and go alluminum. I'm still a little concerned about the front one though and may take a page from dmc27 and go stainless there.
Anyway, I really appreciate the answers! I'm off to order my new goodies

IMO the stock **** cannot be used comfortably no matter what shifter you have, also the afe ss/voodoo generates a good bit of transmission noise and imo did not feel as smooth as the stock shifter/voodoo combo. I would recommed if you get the afe ss, try some other ****.
