Agreed....My Sparkling Black has a few rock chips already. I live in the middle of nowhere and I make a point of not being behind anybody...EVER.

Anyway, 10,000 miles and I could go on raving about my 8....I am so glad I took the plunge and got it!

I only have a couple of complaints:

1. The paint, obviously.

2. The silver paint on the sides of the center console is WAY too thin. I scratches if you look at it wrong. That will be one of my first mods.

3. Mazda moved the oil filter for this year and it is even more of a pain in the neck to reach.

When the fuel card is thrown, I just tell them that if I worried about fuel mileage, I wouldn't have bought a sports car!

P.S. Anybody else have a problem with people thinking you blew $80k on your car?

Five month owner myself, this car is fun to drive, its silver and the paint is in great shape for an '04! It goes stupid fast around corners, makes me grin lots.

I never realized you didn't own an 8 until recently. Glad you're enjoying your 8. You're a certified fanboi!
