My 8 keeps suggesting I go faster

This has happened several times to me lately. I am on an interstate with cruise control on, going 85. I hit cancel to slow when I come up on someone, and later tap resume to go 85 again. However, when I do, my speed jumps to 89 and stays there on cruise. I have done this several times, and am sure to simply tap the button, rather than press it for a second, because if that were the case, I could understand the increase. Has anyone else experienced this?

I mean, I think it's a great suggestion and I feel bad that I can't drive her faster - I just don't need the ticket.

Like you aren't going to get tickets at 'only' 85 ??

Well, the speedo's about 2 mph over, and cops around here (GA) _usually_ don't write tix for less than 15 over (knock on wood), and can't write them for less than 10 over (except highway patrol). I figured I would hear that, tho.

I've done the Cancel and then Resume scenario many times. For me it goes back to my previous speed, does not go above.

Yeah, it doesn't happen often at all, and I'm not complaining cause it's not a big deal anyway and I am in love with the car. I was just curious as to whether I was the only one.

I had this happen to me the other day. I was at 65, hit cancel to slow down, then resume again. Next thing I know the car heads up to 70.

Mine has gone above a few times but then goes right back down to the speed I was previously going after a moment or two.

My cruise works fine. I just wish the Dallas Police and the Texas Highway Patrol followed GA rules. Then I wouldn't need the Passport 8500 so often!
