I just hope everything is straightened out and taken care of before I go in to pick it up. Seems like they are forgetting a lot of stuff. Roxanneblack8 lost a spoiler. I lost the rotary accents. I wonder who else lost stuff on their order?

When I called Mazda to ask them what happened, they said potentially it was an accidental paperwork omission and not an actual omission from the car. I couldn't tell when I watched them unload it. The body was still mostly covered in plastic so it wasn't obviously visible if it was there or not. I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

bunnygirl, they forgot my rotary accents as well, but it was a mistake during ordering, not the fault of mna. fault falls on careless salesmanager. this weekend its gonna rain and sno and stuff here in pa, so um, my first drives will suck.

I truly hope they did not forget the rotary engine.

Many congrats! I've had my 05 whitewater pearl for a little over 2 weeks now. The honeymoon still isn't over! Every time I look at it, I think "I can't believe this is my ride!!!". And I've owned my fair share of cars in 16 or so years of driving!

Mine were listed as being on my order and on the VIN inquiry you did for me when I wanted to know about the fender strakes. When I called Mazda last week Friday to find out if they had any idea when my car would be ready and all the "issues" fixed, the lady was telling me that I had a ton of stuff on my car and it was easy to overlook. She read off all the packages and the rotary accents were on there.

Yesterday the man at Mazda said potentially what happened is that they didn't have anymore at this time since they are on backorder, so they removed them from the vehicle specs. That doesn't seem like they can just remove something you ordered. So if the navigation was on backordered they would just build my car without it?

This one isn't the fault of the salesmanager. Madza screwed up at the port on my vehicle.

We are hoping for an accidental paperwork "oopsy" as the reason for my rotary accents being missing on the inventory.

I pick it up at 11 a.m. on Sunday!!!! The sales manager is going to check on my rotary accent package and put them on if they are missing. He says he definitely ordered them with it on and he remembers doing so. He is also going to arrange to have the fender strakes put on, too, before then. He said they should have enough time. He said they need to wash it pretty good as it is extra sticky. LOL

EDIT: They weren't installed but they had the front and rear in stock so they were added into my prep and will be installed now, same with my fender strakes, so they will be all ready when I pick it up tomorrow!!! Yay!!! I'm so excited!!!

Now I know I won't be able to sleep tonight!!!

I'm looking forward to seeing pics of your new 06. As soon as they arrive here in the northeast, I'm gonna check them out...anxious to see what differences there are from the new 05 I bought. It's all been explained before, but you really don't know till you see for yourself(or at least someone sees and reports).

I got my stuffed bunny to put in the passenger seat all ready and waiting by the door, along with the blankie I made to keep in the trunk. I embroidered "zoom-zoom" on it. LOL
