a little antifreeze in a spray paint cap nailed to a square of wood takes care of any type of vermins that may be running around your 8 like rat's, mice, dogs, cats, small children

Back in the 70s I was involved in some automobile noise studies. We'd put cars on a test stand out in the desert and change components, wrap stuff, etc., to identify noise sources.

We used a truck muffler and a long flex pipe to duct exaust noise away for some of the tests. One morning we fired up the test vehicle and a dead burnt rabbit blew out of the pipe.

Hopefully it's just one! You may want to put traps out for a week or two after you catch the f'er and figure out how it got in your garage in the first place. I killed 5 or 6 before I got tired of setting and clearing the traps...
