yea, that seems like a totally fun idea.

EDIT:

Okay, just my opinion. . . but this thing is really stupid and no one should buy one.
It's not just your opinion. It's mine too.

But if you've got money to burn, and you like it, it's not the worst purely cosmetic mod you could do.

My 10 year old son and I love my Rx8. He is geniunely upset if I don't use it to pick him up from school, and loves being in the car with me.
In all honesty, if I ever decided to put a **** like that in the car, he would disown it.
My thinking on this "each to their own" "different strokes for different folks", but personally, the Rx8 does not need something like, in my opinion the OEM **** is a work of art, comfortable, upmarket and contributes towards what makes the Rx8 such a love (sometimes hate) relationship.

For that much, I would get the LED stock shifter for the 8. That thing is useless.

the stock shift **** always looked good, but it never felt comfortable at all to me. especially when upshifting from 2-3 and 4-5.

Would be more useful as a convenience for passengers. For instance, when downshifting to third it could display a flashing exclamation point, alerting passengers to grab onto the "oh sh*t" handles.

ya or someone not familiar with the car like a valet, mechanic, etc. The voodoo **** is definitely not rx8-newb friendly. But you know what that means? Stay the Fck outta my car!

It does not match at all with rx8. Very out of place, very cheap looking. So disgusting.
