Metal under black B-pillar on front doors
What is it? Is it aluminum? The black "stuff" (I don't know if it's really paint) got scratched off in a small spot down to the metal. I figured if it's aluminum, I'd just leave it but if it's steel, I suppose I ought to prime and paint it to prevent rust. Anyone know?
I also got my first door ding/dent a few days ago It's on the passenger door so at least I won't see it every day. And after 2 1/2 years and 33,000 miles, only one door ding isn't too bad.* But it's always hard.
* I should point out I had to have the whole rear bumper repainted because someone scratched the hell out of it not long after I got it. Yes, the car is silver. But it now looks good as new.
