dont hate on porsches, my next car will probably be a cayman!

anyway, dude, swift, i cant imagine rosenthal shafting you unless you came in there acting like a complete fool. from the way you posted, it kind of seems you did. im not going to pretend i was there, but dont you think your attitude might have played a large role? anyway, i always get the older lady (as in 45-50) as my service provider. cause she's awesome.

did you try deflooding your car yourself?

we're talking to a guy that has a "new" engine in his Porsche, and keeps on referring to a new "rx7". this guy is not worth anytime considering he doesn't know **** about rotaries as well as busting a new engine is his porsche. apparently, this idiot believes a new engine isn't a problem, but a minor flood is..

Swift, buddy what is up with the two face attitude? First you love the RX-8, then you hate it? Then you want to tell everybody to buy a Nissan? I been a Nissan freak since the 80's and the Nissans of New(I own a Titan present, had 02 Maxima, 94 TTZ,86 300TZ, 79 280Z) service and quality has taken a back seat.

Hey enjoy your Porsche, your Porsche will be problematic as a RX-8 , just in diffrent areas. Also flooding is not the cars fault, thats your fault.

Enjoy your new car and move on.....

I guess the OP doesn't get it either...

I hope your RX8 finds a good home.

I think he is a piece of crap that doesn't know what he is talking about... I've had my baby for over a year and haven't had any issues! No flooding and I move my car from driveway to garage all the time!

Wow what a lynching! I've never read a thread so harsh. Anyways I do agree with most of the members, to have a flooding issue is something to be expected in a Wankle engine and in four years, it's really not worth commenting over, especially when Mazda tells you exactly what to do to remedy the problem and also tells you what not to do so it won't happen in the first place. My '83 RX7 flooded a couple of times when I had it. Thank God I have had ZERO engine/powertrain issues with my '04 that was born on July 7, 2003. <Knocking on Wood>

Also what does being gay have to do with ranting and raving over a flooding Renesis? Please enlighten.

i'll tell you exactly what is going on in this thread, swift simply wanted to show off that he has a porsche, its a self-complex issue. Him having a porsche leads him to believe he is better than other people (which is probably the reason he bought it)

That would be another insecurity exposed, that sadly some of our members display.

However with my previous RX8 (2004), I had your typical flood. It's 2008, cars shouldn't flood, this is a design flaw. I wrote Mazda NA and requested that they consider investigating my report and I enclosed a receipt. I had to have my vehicle towed literally 500 ft up a hill to the dealer. I spent $870 on parts and labor, the dealer took me for a ride and so did Mazda. Anyways Mazda NA, told me that it was a "driver error" and declined my request. I will never buy a new Mazda vehicle as long as I live.

I had a Nissan a few years ago and the master clutch cylinder went out @ 51K miles. I wrote them and they reimbursed me for the repair. I will heavily consider buying a Nissan as my next daily driver, they wanted to uphold the quality of their company. Mazda basically told me that the RX8 was unique and being unique they don't consider it to be of the same Mazda quality. Whatever, they lost on some opportunity with me. Thought I'd share my story because until now, I liked Mazda.
Whoa, this is sOOOOOOO "driver error" you dumb ***.

"OMG I was chopping onions with this knife then I chopped my finger off, I asked the knife manufacture to pay for my medical bills but they refused ! Im not going to buy any more knifes from this company, EVER!!!"

You flooded ur own freaking motor then u whine ? 3 yrs of ownership, 42K miles, no flood. and Im sure NYC has *colder* weather than VA ever will. and yes my 8 is my daily driver.

ITs funny that you say rx8 sucks and u're looking to get rx7 ? what a freaking moron.

Wooo, u got a Porsche with "new motor" and u feel proud of it or something? what a loser.

Maybe its just me but I never found Porsche to be that interesting, I can afford a Porsche, but why would I want one ? I cant find any reason other than the "chick" factor. thats about it.

Anyway, get lost, u failed.

Why do people feel they have to defend their cars and flame others for having a different opinion? The OP had a bad experience with his RX8, he does not like them, get over it. I have avoided places to eat, shops, products for reasons that may not make sense to others, but who cares. I loved my 8 when I had it and still sold it. It is not the car for him, hopefully he finds one that he does like. What is going to happen when the 8 is not made anymore, then what are you going to flame people for?
