i've got a rattle...not squeak. wonder if this will solve the problem. unfortunately i cant recreate it by shaking/pushing the sunroof assembly. only happens when i'm driving. i thought it would be something i could fix myself.

Thanks for the heads up. I have had a noise, more like a rattle than a squeak, mostly while idling shortly after starting up. I didn't bother taking it in, as my dealer techs aren't particularly sharp, and I figured they would not do anything if they could not duplicate the problem -- meaning I would have to leave the car, and still probably get no help.
Now that there is a tech bulletin, I'll get the procedure done at my next routine service, with no downside and a chance at fixing the problem.

Thanks again,
Mitch

No problems with mine (knock on wood) but thanks for posting this "good-to-know."

And here I thought I had a moonroof.

Fortunately no squeaks, but then I don't run it fully open very often.

Surprisingly, I also have a rattle and not a squeak. I brought this to the attention of the techs at my local dealer and they said that they had a bulletin for a 'squeak' but not a rattle. They did take a look at it and tried to lubricate the guides but it didn't help at all. I'm pretty sure that something is loose. Any ideas?

I hope that they release a bulletin for the 'rattle' as well.

I'm considering just going in and pretending I'm stupid. "I hear a noise"...what kind of noise sir, is it a squeak? "I hear some type of sound...up there...fix it."

I just complained about this to the dealer two weeks ago. They said they greased the track but it didn't fix anything. The noise has been bugging me for months.

I BELIVE THE RATTLE IS A WIRE HITTING THE ROOF.

Remove rear dome light assembly and use duct tape to secure to roof.
