In my experience, BMW builds a far superior car compared to Mazda. Over 2 years on the bimmer and I haven't been to the dealer once.

What model is rotary with japanese electronics pls? ... (crickets).

So what there are a few issues with Rx8. All of which are pretty well defined and workable.

Take care of any car well and they last for long time. Keep corrosion down.

BMW vehicles cost more than Mazda. Most Mazda has a diff target middle class income BMW target upper middle and rich.

Hardly a fair comparison. Rx8's will make excellent collectables if well cared for and you don't let it get rust, crash or bake in sun for years on end.

How did you get 67k miles on a 09? You track or just long daily drive?
I got mine since 05 and only got 52k on it....

I really don't understand the concept of "I'll get another car since keeping this car cost me a lot"....hell, my friend sold his ML 350 for cheap like 25k and spent another 70K on X-5 for same reason. I really don't....

Anyway, if you are considering keeping another car, I would not suggest BMW....wait until warranty expires, and you'll see why. Part of urban legend I guess.

I think you misread. It's an 05 and I bought it in 2009.

rofl, my friend said complete opposite of what you just said

one with a 2008 328i

the other with a 2011.

the 2008 one have been going back to dealer every month or 2 from all kinds of problem. he said he swear to god he will sell that piece of **** as soon as the warranty is completely over.

and the 2011 one, he just got it a while ago and he already back to dealership 4 times. rofl.

they're not Mazda fans, one is Honda fan and the other is Subaru.

My Mazda3 is not giving me any problems so far, yeah only a month something 2. so far so good.

everyone is entitled to their own opinion, hopefully based on their own real-life experiences. every car company can manufacture lemons. and unfortunately, every car company has SHITTY dealerships and employees that can completely ruin anyone's experience, amplifying the "lemon" experience. so i have no doubt these people did have bad experiences, but overall they are consistently ranked in top 10 lists in all magazines, etc.

all you bmw ball busters can keep up the crap (not you nycgps), but overall they ARE one of the best made cars in the world. i don't think everyone should buy them, but they are exceptional cars. sure, some have problems, and yes, they can be expensive - but hello...they use nicer parts than the cheapers cars, so OF COURSE repairs will cost more money...if you don't like it, don't buy one, but stop trying to act like you're smarter than the rest of the world b/c you got a mazda/honda/...non-bmw.

/rant

ftr, 2007 x3 with 51k, bought used with 6 yr warranty...not a single problem with it after 10k. i love my rx8, but the comfort and luxury of a 3-series is head and shoulders above mazda, and well worth the price imo

2009 with 67,000 miles. Damn you've put some miles on the car. Good luck selling it for what you owe on it. I've got an '05 with less miles.

Our Mazda3 5-door has never been back to the dealer, only tires/fluids at my mechanic.

Totally trouble free, looks like new inside and out.

Mazda3 is a great car
