the best thing about the car is how effortless and natural it is in the hills/mountains/twisties, its quick, but so easy to drive. on the race track, pushing it further, its amazing how forgiving the car is, you can do STUPID things behind the wheel, and it doesn't bite.

Never noticed this... Now that is a cool small touch lol to think someone actually took the time to wire it this way.

I like the RX-8 for the expectations it meets.

I expect it to have comfortable/sporting seats with heated leather
... to have better quality carpet and materials than other Mazda models
... to have good illumination from the headlights and interior
... to inform you how the road feels through the steering and isolate bumps well
... to attract people
... to inspire you to turn the (pretty good for Bose) stereo off

Of course it exceeds my expectations for passenger comfort, which is pretty sweet when you're the DD haha

That smile I get when walking up to her and gazing at that beautiful, elegant silhouette and thinking to myself... wow, this is MY car!!!!

... and still tuning heads with her 10 year old design!!!

... and the way the dim, blue light on the instruments fades into the bright white and red ligh when you start the car.

UNIQUELY AWESOME!

^ IIRC, he had turned off traction control. Not a good idea on the street.

Love the feeling when parking my daily work car and getting into the 8 for a weekend of bliss. Within the first minute of driving not being able to suppress the words "Missed you baby" from vocalizing.

I love how the traction control is pretty non invasive but swoops in to save the day literally right before the moment of disaster :-P It's like the car has a brain!

I love the red illumination in the cabin, the amazing xenon headlights, the sound of the rotary engine, the sporty look of the car, and I could go on all day.

I am posting this here so that most active members will receive an email notice ..

I suggest all re-read the forum rules to re-fresh some attitudes...

Please pay particular attention to # 1 to # 18 inclusive.

ALSO THE FOLLOWING....

Attacks on moderators will not be tolerated, and may result in an immediate permanent ban.

Moderators sometimes have to make difficult judgment calls, but remember we *are* human.

Hopefully we'll make decisions that are considered "correct" by the majority of the community.

Do not post complaints, criticisms, or moderation questions on the forum.

These posts will be deleted and no explanation will be given.

If you have a concern about a particular moderator (person), send a private message to a Super Moderator or Administrator.

If you have constructive suggestions on improvements that can be made to the forum or its moderation (not personalities), please post them in the Suggestions area.

POSTING.....

Some older and experienced member behaviour has been disgraceful, particularly to NEW Members with little to no experience either in Rotaries or Forum use.
Unless you have forgotten this FREE to use Forum can ONLY survive with having an active (large) member list with active Vendors and Advertisers.

Yes, we can all at times become frustrated with the same questions being continually asked, however, if you are
not prepared to respond with a helpful or kind approach with positive contributions, then please DO NOT reply at all....simple.

POST EDITING BY MODERATORS.....

If ‘’non-contributing’’ messages are posted and or harassing, post trolling, abuse, or anything that breaks Forum Rules (see link above) then these posts will either be edited or removed.
If severe enough, such posts will be reported and infractions will be allocated to those members who continue to repeat offend.
Once a number of Infractions are accumulated then either a Holiday (time out from forum use 1 to 30 days), or permanent ban WILL BE GIVEN.
Repeat offenders (mod editing) also has their infraction (what posted or said) archived as a future reference.

FINAL....

We (Staff) have had enough of new members being insulted, harassed, even bullied, or put off from asking questions about their RX-8 or associated problems from other members..
Staff are annoyed that we have to continually ‘edit out’ such posting behaviour.
We are all here to learn and help out, even to enjoy.

This Forum is not here for anyone's “private or group amusement of others”.

Thank you for reading..

The fact that it turns even the mundane home-to-office commute into a joy; just playing with the right pedal and applying opposite lock 3-4 times makes for a nice start to the day

Love how my Lightning Yellow 04 stands out in a crowded parking lot;

Shining like the sun on a beautiful, warm, sunny day after a long dreary winter.

I love how Winning Blue is such a dynamic color. So many different ways it looks amazing.

Also... I just noticed. Why in the world is this thread tagged with the word "gloryhole"??? Hahahahaha

The fact that I've owned my First RX-8 for less than two weeks and I already miss her when I'm away.

I like the way my winning blue 8 makes my wife grin. Her last two cars were a late 90's Protege and a 2006 Nissan Sentra. Both cars base model and both...tan. It's like getting into a lump of boring. I suspect the next car we pick for her will be somewhat more interesting. I'm gunning for a blue Mazda 6 for her.

There is a long list of things I enjoy about the RX8 - most of which has been mentioned by others including everything from the speed of the power windows, the engine note and the excellent driving characteristics without sacrificing passenger comfort (I really love the recaro seats).

I'll add that I really like how our fuel gauge is actually LINEAR! Every single car, truck or van I have owned previously has always had at least 1 "dead" spot where the fuel gauge would sit at for awhile before moving again (and then fall quickly in other spots) - the RX8 however has the most linear fuel gauge I have experienced. I like that.
